In October, amidst the vibrant atmosphere of DDW24, SandraPlacet opened the doors of Terracotta House to invite visitors into a space of warmth, connection, and slow living. For nine days, this Italian family home and Interior Design Studio in Eindhoven became a sanctuary where the heart of the kitchen — a handcrafted, bespoke design — became the stage for something far more meaningful than a mere exhibition.

Around the big table of the kitchen, Convivio took place, an event where knowledge was shared, stories were exchanged, and memories were made with the visitors. It wasn’t just about design; it was about the experience of being together, of truly living with the space around you. Our fully handcrafted kitchen, with its raw materials, organic textures, and timeless warmth, invited visitors to touch, feel, and immerse themselves in a world of authenticity and Italian hospitality.

As the scent of freshly baked bread filled the air, we shared a simple yet profound gesture: the bread, accompanied by our family’s olive oil, symbolized the essence of sharing — the joy of coming together, slowing down, and connecting on a deeper level. This was more than just a kitchen; it was a space to pause, reflect, and rediscover the beauty of authentic living.
